Academics

Our Mission

Jacobson Sinai Academy provides academic excellence while nurturing souls for a fuller Jewish life.

Founded in 1973, Jacobson Sinai Academy of Temple Sinai serves nearly 500 students, from age six months through eighth grade. We are the only accredited liberal Jewish day school in the Northeast Miami-Dade/Southeast Broward area. We have established a reputation for offering an academically excellent secular education which is integrated with Judaic studies in a progressive framework. After eighth grade, graduates are accepted to, and excel in, selective high school day and boarding programs. We offer full-time education for early childhood, elementary and middle school students, as well as parent/child classes. Situated on a wooded, 14-acre campus, the school is connected to the MAR-JCC by a footbridge spanning the Oleta River. Jacobson Sinai Academy nurtures its students in a broad, challenging academic environment which boasts a competitive athletic program, integrated technology, Hebrew and Judaic studies, visual and performing arts, dedicated science and engineering labs, two libraries, character education, a middle school advisory program, community service learning, significant overnight trips for older students, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). All JSA students master English, Hebrew, and Spanish, with immersion programs in both Spanish and English available in the early childhood center. We are fully accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS) and the Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC). JSA is a beneficiary of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. JSA is also a member of PARDeS (Progressive Association of Reform Day Schools), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and DAANS (Dade Association of Academic Non-Public Schools).
